I’ve recently moved from the seclusion of the woods in Gordonsville to the heart of Charlottesville. It’s only been four years since I lived inside a city, but it feels like a lifetime.

It’s a little strange hearing the sounds city in the middle of the night again and seeing the hustle and bustle of people in their daily activity. I've been utilizing the sleep machine on my droid phone to help me avoid using earplugs to sleep while I adjust; god I love technology. After four years I have high speed internet again, I absolutely love it. Walking to the Downtown Mall on Saturday mornings to visit the Farmers Market is so wonderful. This is my first time being so close to the college and its students on a daily basis; I can practically see the energy radiate from the city and it’s invigorating.

But best of all, I'm only nine and half miles to work, I love my 20 minute commute and how little gas it uses. It’s the simple joys in life…
